
















For years, I have drawn inspiration from urban landscapes, captivated by the interplay between decay and renewal. Now, I seek to extend this dialogue to natural environments, integrating urban materials like concrete with linen and canvas to challenge conventional perceptions of space. My work blurs the boundaries between the built and natural worlds, inviting a reconsideration of how these spaces interact and evolve.
Since December 2017, I have traveled more than twenty-two thousand miles across the United States and Canada, immersing my works in rivers, forests, grasslands, canyons, swamps and the waters of the Pacific, Atlantic, and Arctic Oceans. These interactions serve as both a process and a narrative—each piece absorbing the textures, elements, and histories of its surroundings.
Through immersion, my works acquire a tangible record of their environment, bearing the marks of time, erosion, and transformation. Photography and video documentation further extend this narrative, capturing the evolving relationship between the work and the landscape, challenging viewers to rethink their connection to both urban and natural spaces.
Waterline I was created at the Vermont Studio Center and first submerged into the Gihon River that ran directly in front of my studio. The experimental process
